Let's face it, tangles are a pain. Trying to remove them can be even worse! If not done correctly, removal of tangles can often lead to even more tangling and/or breakage. To properly remove tangles, gently massage the tangle in a up and down motion with your thumb and middle finger. When the tangle has become looser, carefully pull each strand up and out of the tangle. The key to this technique is to be very gentle. If you're too rough with your hair, the tangle will become tighter and this method most likely won't work.
